A Life That Leads

You are living a life that leads, dear runner. And you will serve society well by stepping confidently into this role.

Whether your route takes you two miles or twenty, you are the epitome of wanting to live a healthy life. Your early morning runs and countless weekend miles show the world your dissatisfaction with the status quo, and your lack of interest in activities that don’t benefit – or that bring harm – to your workouts and races is commendable. As a runner, you work hard. You sacrifice a great deal to race and with purpose, you push yourself beyond self-imposed limits or boundaries.

You, my running friend, are an amazing human being.

I want to remind you that the world is watching. Whether or not the others run, your spouse…your children…your colleagues…your friends bear witness to all that you are accomplishing on the road or trail.

With a smile on your face and a pair of snazzy new running shoes in your closet, you set the bar high. You are making a difference; publicly revealing your priorities; showing others that running is a very real life-changing habit. You, dear runner are certainly living a life that leads….

…and for that I thank you. Keep up the good work!
